Everyone who acquires a puppy has the perfect opportunity to raise the perfect dog. Unfortunately, many owners allow their puppy to get away with behaviours they think are cute and don't think it's necessary to enforce any rules. The problem is that this dog will grow up, become stronger and will practice taking control in even bigger ways than they've been practicing their whole young life. The end result is a dog the owner cannot control, cannot walk, and doesn't enjoy as a companion. In these cases, the humans receive the consequence because they didn't provide for the dog the way that was necessary.
From here, the only direction to move is forward. Dogs don't hold on to the past and worry about what they've done, or haven't done. They live in the moment and can transform in a moment. They let go very quickly and that is what the human must do in order to help their dog.
Step 1-Teach -We will teach you the changes needed to develop your own skills and awareness. This is essential in redirecting your dogs' unwanted behaviors.
Step 2-Exercise-Once we have taught you the skills we will let you begin to exercise what you have learned and focus on the changes and not the setbacks. Remember every dog is different so you cannot put a time limit on their success.
Step 3-Balance- With the proper guidance, communication and skills, you and your dog will have the opportunity to experience what balance feels like and looks like. Recovering balance is creating peace between you and your dog.
